Aileni
SOLD
The bust, hand and forearm of a hollow male dryad formed from intertwining branches, shoots, vines and leaves fabricated from mild steel.

This piece was originally commissioned as a gift for a father going through a divorce and as a reminder that things will get better and change with time; I chose the title "Aileni" as it translates to both "rebirth" in Welsh and "family" in Turkish.

The piece features a flower in the centre where the heart would be as a symbol for the father's caring nature and the three acorns on the base were specifically 10cm, 8cm and 4cm tall, representing the ages of his three children at the time.
Material: Mild Steel
Dimensions: 35cm x 50cm x 35cm
